Advanced Community Health Worker Certificate
Training Options
Self-Paced – Class will be a mix of Self-Paced and 2 Coaching Hours. (Launched Spring 2023)
Virtual – 5 Live Instructor Led Virtual Training Days and 2 Coaching Hours.
Training is a total of 40 hours
2 private one on one coaching sessions.
Participants will have access to the schedule immediately after registration to begin to discuss topics most pressing to their work.
5 Self-Paced or Virtual Learning Lab Days
The curriculum is designed to build upon foundational skills of front line health workers to provide culturally responsive services. Each of the five competencies are presented in modules that promote the development of skills and enhance the knowledge base of those already employed.

Eligibility
To enroll in the Advanced Community Health Worker Certificate program, participants must:
- Be experienced Community Health Workers who have completed a CHW Core Competency course.
- This program is ideal for those seeking to deepen their skills and knowledge in community health.
Certification Requirements- To maintain certification, an annual 1-hour coaching session is required.
- This ongoing support ensures that CHWs remain updated and continuously improve their skills.
