CHW Core Competency Certification

Amber Mullen, is pleased to offer a virtual Nationally Aligned Community Health Worker (NCHW) Core Competency Certification training for participants in Georgia. Amber brings extensive experience as a Community Health Worker,  workforce development, training delivery, and program implementation across diverse healthcare and community-based settings. She is dedicated to supporting learners in building the skills and confidence needed to serve their communities effectively and welcomes you to join this training opportunity. This course aligns with the nationally recognized C3 Project Core Competencies for Community Health Workers, as well as many state certification requirements and established best practices.

Successful completion of the program does not guarantee employment but does enhance your employability in the community health worker profession.

All participants who successfully complete the training will receive a certificate.

Our engaging instructors use hands-on practice, group activities, demonstrations, role-playing, case studies, and simulations to facilitate content using the popular education model.

Current and past students will continue to stay connected with others in the field to establish lifelong connections with access to online learning community.

High quality CHW training is an essential component of successful Community Health Worker programs.

In order to gain the most benefit from training sessions, our trainers build on the skills that Community Health Workers already have, present information in a culturally appropriate and accessible way, and review key knowledge areas as well as provide specific tools and techniques for the programs they will be working in.

This course aligns with the standards of the C3 Project Core Competencies for Community Health Workers, as well as many state certification programs, and recognized best practices.

Most importantly, it is led by experts who have conducted training nationally and currently work in the field as CHWs.

A total of 166 hours of instruction, independent study, assignments, and instructor coaching. Students will schedule virtual coaching sessions for live instruction in addition to completing their assignments through a 24 hr access learning management system.
